Editing aside, some of the more daunting tasks involved in presenting one’s writing creation to the public have to be the components of the morass, the absolute maze, of the navigation through to the goal of successful self-publishing on the big worldwide platforms. It’s taken me months to figure out the appropriate steps.
When those weeks and weeks involved new writing, that felt good. Now that the effort involves actually getting down to brass tacks and sorting out the service feeds, it’s a bit more pedantic. But, at least for the first go, a bit exciting too, at the same time.
So now I’ve set up the feed of a completed Fragments of a Song excerpt (for excerpt is exactly what it is, this taster, an excerpt of the exciting new novel: Prequel), and I’m just relaxing, doing a bit of gardening, clearing out the polytunnel. My beloved beta-testers are kindly assessing the links, making sure that the eBook (both .epub and .mobi versions) can be downloaded successfully from the BookFunnel.com site.
And, if all goes well with the beta-testing, I’ll look to be launching the free offering out to the local public on 1st May, target date. We’ll see.
