Hope in post-apocalyptic times

I’m so delighted to be accepted in a new promotion out of BookFunnel, which is called ‘The End is Here.‘ This promotion is for post-apocalyptic books on Kindle, and it goes live out to the mailing lists of participating authors on the 14th of June through and into July. I will share the promotion to Biome NE47 subscribers on the 15th.

To be completely frank, however, the cover of Prequel does not look apocalyptic at all, and perhaps the inquisitive hare looking out at the reader is not very scary. In fact, the anomalous cover is quite deliberate!

The scenario of Biome NE47 is, inevitably, a dreadful one, a real apocalyptic vision of the end times. Trapped for all time in a transparent bubble, along with the rest of your community? Hell on earth, but . . . could it also be heaven?

The difference in my vision for Biome NE47, from other apocalyptic visions of doom, is that I’m an optimist. Hope imbues my writing.

But hope is not particularly popular in the hard science fiction genre, I’ve noticed. Maybe that’s my niche then.
